Ningyo Editions is equipped for the printing of small scale etching on copper. A Takach Tabletop etching press (24 x 36”) allows for the printing of up to 22 x 30” (full) sheets. There is an aquatint box and hot plate which accomodate plates up to 18 x 24", and a separate room for etching with ferric chloride. Many solutions and ingredients for various etching techniques such as soap ground, spit bite and sugar lift are also on hand.
The studio is also set for moku hanga (Japanese Woodblock printing), Western woodcut printing, and monotype. A large glass-covered work table, a glass-covered counter space and a 60 x 100"clean table provide ample work space for individuals and small groups.
